Rahr
Beer of the Week - Stormcloud
By Barry Shlachter
Star-Telegram Staff Writer

The beer: Rahr Stormcloud IPA
The cost: $7.49 to $8.49 for a six-pack of 12-ounce longnecks
Where to buy it: Hall's, Crow's Liquor and some Kings and Majestic stores.
Why you should check it out: This is a remarkable India pale ale hybrid, made with German Noble hops and then brought to life with a Koelsh yeast. The result is a delicious brew created right here in Fort Worth.
Rahr & Sons owner Fritz Rahr calls it a GIPA, for German-India pale ale, and it's named for the sailing ship Sturmwolke, which carried his forebears from Germany in the mid-19th century.
It will be available year-round and could become the microbrewery's flagship product.
Stormcloud's nifty English tulip glasses will be available at this evening's pint night at Flying Saucer Draught Emporium in downtown Fort Worth, or for $5 each at the open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturdays at the brewery, 701 Galveston Ave.
